Register to Attend In-Person or Live Webcast of the Forum on the Future of Nursing: Education

As the nation looks to make fundamental reforms to health, there is a unique opportunity to provide information, insight and guidance on the future role of nursing in the delivery of that care. A transformation of the nursing profession will be required for the implementation of fundamental health care reform.

As such, the Institute of Medicine (IOM) in collaboration with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) has established the Initiative on the Future of Nursing. The Initiative’s last of three nationwide forums will be held in Houston at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center on February 22, 2010 and will focus on nursing education.

Registration to attend this meeting is now open. The forum will emphasize nursing education issues, including what, how and where nursing should be taught.
