Description & Objectives

Second Degree B.S. in Nursing Program:
An accelerated second degree bachelor’s program for non-nursing college graduates leading to a B.S. in nursing.  The condensed format of this program’s curriculum takes into account the educational, career, and life experiences of its students, requiring fewer pre-requisites than the traditional baccalaureate nursing program.  Upon completion of this program, graduates are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN and to receive licensure as a registered nurse.  Graduates of this program are encouraged to continue their nursing education.

Duration: 
3 semesters
Admission Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA;  Mastery of certain subjects and completion of prerequisite coursework; Completed application with a one-to-two page educational and professional goals statement, a current resume/curriculum vita, submission of official transcripts and two academic/professional letters of recommendation; Personal interview; See Web site for additional admissions information.
